29/03/01 **Word has just reached my ears that the UK "Record Collector" April issue has an updated Manics Discography and article which I've been told is none too flash. Considering they knew about this site (see below!) I would be disappointed if the article and listings were full of inaccuracies as per their last 2 efforts. I'll get my hands on a copy and report my findings next time! **Happy days!! - finally got my copy of "Feminine is Beautiful" and "Manics DJ Copy" so have put the scans up on the site under the Top 30 Collectables section. **Andy Warhol was right! In the January 2001 edition of the UK record collecting magazine, the superb, brilliant, fantastic, stupendous (I'm not overdoing it am I?) "Record Collector" this site was given a plug (and I had nothing to do with it!!). In one of their monthly features on artists' fan web-sites the Manics had their turn and up pops yours truly. For those who aren't interested here's what they had to say (and I quote!); "Spectators of Suicide: A collector's guide to the Manic Street Preachers" is, despite its miserable teenage-angst title, a professional-looking site with tons of useful content including UK, US, Australian, European and even Japanese discographies, a Top 30 Manics Collectables list and a guide to (cough) bootlegs. The webmaster, Keith O'Shea, also trades Manics items and has included a photo gallery and a books guide . As an indication of just how serious he is, there's something called "the Canadian promo CD saga" in his news section. Dedication...that's what you need..." Ho hum….. **Talking of which, surprise, surprise, yet another set of Canadian promos have turned up - That's number 10 that I know of so the ESPRIT claim of only 12 copies is getting weaker by the moment… **Another Oz/NZ Manic moment - I've turned up a NZ (that's New Zealand to the rest of you!) promo CDR copy of "Tsunami", which is a pretty strange item considering "Downunder" didn't release this track. Even more interesting is the fact that, whilst not mentioned on the typical boring Oz/NZ Sony "silk-screened" disc, "Buildings For Dead People" is the second track! Well, it interests me!
