My friends

Okay, this page is going to be constantly updated, especially over the next few weeks, so make sure you check back very soon.

First of all, there is Jordie; My oldest and bestist friend. That's right, we met at RVIB 19 whole years ago, and, she is very very special to me. Check out Jordie's page.
Her real name is Jordina, but I didn't tell you that! :) We have always been there for each other, through good times and bad, and I seriously don't know what I'd do without her. Love ya best bud!

Okay, meet my old buddy Natalie B. she doesn't know it, but I now have taken to call her NatalieB1. Now, there is a number of reasons for this.
The first reason is because she has this "b1" thing contained within her email address.
The second reason is because I since have another friend called Natalie B (who you will meet later.) She will kill me probably, but I had to mention her on this page with a site, so this is what she's working on as part of her uni course in marketting. Check out
Natalie's page
I met Natalie in year 7 (my first year of high school) as she attended secondary school with me at Vermont, but we didn't really become friends til year 8, (second year.)
Well we became quite close. I felt she was the only sighted person who was able to relate to me soooo well, as a blind person.
so Nat, keep up the great work with your web site buildings!

Someone else I met in year 8 was me buddy Kellie
We don't seem to get together all that often any more, but when we do, we always have a blast. The last time I saw her was for her birthday. A few of us went to a movie marathon, (it was the first one I had attended). it basically consists of three movies in a row, shown from midnight to the wee small hours; a bit hard on folks who absolutely *need their beauty sleep like me. :) Lol! but, it was the best fun! :)

Okay, visit Danny He's got a small site happening; small because at the moment, he hasn't much up there, but he informs me it's well on the way.
I met danny, about four years ago (would be my guess) but we weren't really friends up until a couple of years ago. I love this guy's sense of humour. I don't know if he's aware of this or not, but he always cracks me up. Just go to his site, and you'll see what I mean.

Okay, now meet Travis.
He hasn't updated his site til the end of 98 I see, but, still go and check it out, it's awesome! :)
I met travis when I first hopped on the internet in 1998. I subscribed to destin (which is The! Best! Celine Dion mailing list), and I sent the introduction thing about myself, and low and behold, he wrote back to me saying:
"We've got two things in common. We're the two biggest Celine Dion fans she ever, ever, would want to have! And, you know the second thing, we're both blind."
Well, something like that. but, those were in the days when I use to use the internet in Dos. and, I have the best memories of travis and I spending many a day (nights for him) on this shell program called "Talk" which, well, the amount of times I got caught with a whole heap of work to do at the last minute was, ... well, you can decide! :) but, I enjoyed those days Travis.
and, I promise I won't mention the time that I ran up a $50 bill talking to you on the phone. Nor will I mention I did the same to your phone bill the very next time, just to get you back! ha ha! :)

Meet the original Shazza. You have to check out Sharon's page.
Sharon and I met at the Prahran campus of RVIB about two years ago, and since then, we have been firm friends. She's amazing, Her web site tells you she's a sighty, but she has worked extremely hard on her photo gallery to make it what it is, so well done!

Now, you have to visit the page of my friend Chris Chris and I met only last October, but I really feel I've known him for ages.

Now, go and check out the site of my friend Shannon
She was first a friend of chris's, but then I decided to write and introduce myself to her one day, as I had heard quite a lot about her, (good things of course! :) and I needed to find out for myself. And, well, we have never looked back, have we Shaz! :)
I have taken to call Shannon "Shaz", and when I first did it, it took her by much surprise, but now she loves it!
Shaz, you've already become a *great friend of mine, and I am really greatful for that. Thanks.

Now, check out the site of my friend NatalieB2
Okay, how did we meet? It's a bit of a weird story, because I started initially talking to her through the blindness related list called jfw-icq, because I knew her name from shannon's forwards, and it turned out that yes, she, Shannon and Chris were all friends as well. so, well, the blind community is just so small. But her site is awesome. I can't stop thinking about that braille on chocolate! :)

Now I would like to introduce you to my friend Sam
Sam is on an internet mailing list called Hands.

Also, my friend Rich
He owns the list, and does a great job. It's the most awesome list, for more information, visit his sight.

Now meet Daryl, the hypa chick from Canada. Okay, she is also on Hands, where I met her about three years ago. A group of us call her "D", but now she calls herself "~*~praisegirl", which I think is rather awesome! :) Check her new site out by hopping on over to D's home

Now, I want to introduce you to Rob!br> Rob is on Destin, that's where we met. And, he has another site for which Celine Dionis the one and only topic. so go, check it out!

Now I want to introduce you to another destinion, who has also become a good friend of mine. Check out Iva

Now to a site by my german friend Tanja!
Tanja and I met about a year ago in a chat program called Accessable Chat" for us blind peeps.

Okay, Rob is the only one of my friends who has divoted his whole site to discussing a celebrity. I now want to point your browers to a site of my newest friend who has done the same thing, but this time, she discusses Gretel Killeen, who is ... well ... an Aussie legend (but still living.) I first heard about Gretel as she was the hoast of our Big Brother, but I had since learnt that she goes way beyond that. Anyway, before I go further, I want to let you know how KC and I begand talking, because it's bizarre!
Okay, picture this, it was late on Saturday night, and i was tired, but just surfing around on the web, and stumbled apon this Gretel Killeen site. And, well, to cut a long story short, there was an address to write too, and in the combination of my tiredness (not reading properly) and my trusty screne reader not co-operating properly, I wrote a lovely letter, thinking "Oh my gosh! I am writing to Gretel!" Well, it wasn't her obviously, it was KC. so now we talk on msn, and, she may not be Gretel herself, but, it doesn't matter, we're destin great friends, right KC? :) Anyway, so hop along over to KC's site, and find out all about GK as well.

Okay now, visit the page of my good friends Marie and Neil! Their site has many pictures of themselves, so check em out!
We met quite a few years ago now, then we lost contact for about two years, and only hooked up again a while ago. Obviously we're glad of that. :)

Now hop on over to the site of Liam! He has a lot of archived radio programs on there. Internet radio is something I want to eventually get intoo, but it isn't happening yet, but Liam knows that stuff, and is quite a professional at it I reckon.

Okay now to some singing decktalks, :)
To all you sighted folk, let me explain. Decktalk is a screne reader that consists of nine different voices, some male and others female. Decktalk is driven by a speech program, (In my case it's Jaws for windows.)
But, by doing some very clever programming, it is possibile to make decktalk sing. I have got a couple of very clever friends who have put it to the test, and they have very kindly given me permission to show you some of them.
I would like to introduce you to Sam. He has become a great friend of mine who got extremely clever with this wonderful decktalk as well.
His first piece just amazed me.Listen or download Decktalk's unforgettable birthday moment!
Now, the piece Sam made following that is awesome as well. Check out barbershop
Now, he hasn't finished this song, but this is another favourite of mine, so felt I had to show you. Rhythm Of Life If he finishes this, I promise I will add it here. :) He better finish it, He knows I'll keep hastling him, :):) ha ha Lol!
Now just for fun, I want to show you this, it cracks me up. Check out the poor, dying decktalk.

Okay, I just want to show you something that was created by a very clever someone from, and for, Main menu, (a program on ACB radio that I introduced you to in the page of my "other favourites." The following was created for a program where they were comparing Jaws and Windoweyes (another speech program on the market.
Check out the ultimate pickup

Okay, now to the guy who actually started all this decktalk stuff. You just have to check out Patrick's official singing decktalk page

Okay, for now, that's all, but there's heaps more to be added, so you know what the deal is, you must come back soon!
